Apart from the basic preparatory subjects the study includes detailed knowledge of tree species from the taxonomy standpoint (including the widest-spread cultivars also from the viewpoint of creating biomass), basic physiological processes, thorough knowledge of disorders and diseases including their diagnosis, stability and mechanical characteristics of trees, techniques and technologies used in taking care of trees, knowledge of the problems concerning conceptual keeping of tree species in municipalities, complex procedures when establishing the stands of fast-growing tree species, taking care of them, complex processing biomass, knowledge of proper legislation, and working a business entity.
The graduates will be prepared for performing the analytical, evaluating, projection, implementing, administrative, and judging activities, especially in the state, public, and communal management of urban vegetation, in the state and private subjects dealing with complex processing biomass, arboriculture, in posts requiring university education, in the civil service and organizations of nature protection, in lower pedagogical positions at vocational schools, in research into tree species and problems of biomass.
