What will you study

The graduates of the MSc programme of Geoinformation and Mapping Technologies in Forestry obtain, on the one hand, deepening knowledge as well as other practical experience of forestry disciplines and areas, and on the other hand, special knowledge of geoinformatics and mapping.

Application

The graduates meet standard requirements of the educational process quality in the study programme of Forestry. The study program of the 2nd degree Geoinformation and Mapping Technologies in Forestry present a special preparation for support of forestry activities through developing students´ creativity in the sphere of geoinformatics and forestry thematic mapping. The graduates find a job at higher levels of managing state and private forestry subjects and in the civil service in creating and using geographically oriented information systems, in forestry education, science and research, in performing special forestry surveys and forest management. An important sphere of asserting oneself is within creating the state map works with the thematic content of forestry management (according to the Act of the National Council of the SR no. 215/1995 Coll. on Geodesy and Cartography), as well as a possibility to work for state and private subjects in the sector of geodesy, cartography, and cadastre.
